Place to Eat Penarth

Welcome to Crazy Cafe’s website.

I welcome you to one of the foremost and exciting cafes in Wales The Crazy Cafe on the famous Esplanade at Penarth.

The Crazy Cafe offers not just the best view of any cafe in the UK but also an interesting and varied food offer with its own bakery producing its own bread and cakes daily.

We also have event nights and check out our website for details.

Our dedicated team of chefs make delicious meals to suit all tastes and pockets and you can eat breakfast lunch, Sunday Lunch, Specials menu eat in or take out or afternoon tea or simply enjoy a coffee freshly made on our sun terrace.

I now have the responsibility to ensure that every visit is a memorable experience and I look forward to meeting you when you arrive.    I spend my time on the floor ensuring the smooth running of the operation but always find time to introduce myself and am interested in people.    I come from Pontrhydyfen . The home of Richard Burton and Anthony Hopkins a small village above Neath which breeds a race apart. I had the privilege to meet both Richard and his wives Elizabeth and Sally as well as Anthony Hopkins. There were all very likeable characters and they never forgot their home roots.

We have daily newspapers and a selection of magazines, for the children I have sticker books/colouring books/cards/games and for the dogs which we allow to sit outside I (have biscuits).   I love the social experience in the cafe where we have many interesting and involving characters coming daily to enjoy the whole experience.

I look forward to meet with you all soon

What people are saying about Crazy Cafe

Anyone, who visits our place leaves us well fed and in a great mood!

New manager, new standards 😀

Having visited crazy cafe regularly since opening I had always found myself frustrated with slow service, errors in the orders and thinking staff looked lost behind the counter.
It was generally though convenience we ended up here as a group after our regular Sunday work outs by the water.
Now under new management our table of 6 who all ordered varying coffees and breakfasts saw our orders arrive prompt, hot and correct…something of a novelty for my experiences here previously
I had the fruit And nut toast and a flat white which was great. Looking forward to returning if these new standards can be maintained.

Good job!

Visited the Crazy Cafe today had a very pleasant experience and was greeted by Nicola . She was very chatty and looked after my family and I brilliantly. The food was amazing as well as the cafe the children were well catered for with books and snakes and ladders.

Cafe was very clean . Amazing experience definitely be returning.

Thanks very much Nicola for all your hospitality

Popped in on a bright sunny day. The place was reasonably busy and did allow us to chat to the new manager, Nicola, who has just completed one week in her new role. Had a light lunch with some breakfast tea – food and service were very nice, so a very easy recommend.

Could easily have sat outside, given the weather.

Fab location on the seafront in Penarth.

Great place. We came for early Saturday breakfast, everybody was very friendly, food was done quickly and tasted really nice & fresh. It’s so good to see freshly baked bread and all the lovely cakes, it makes such a huge difference! Very family friendly place with good options for children as well.

Following my daughters recommendation I stopped for light lunch and coffee this week The service was good food very appealing to the eye and tasted great. I had one of the best cups of coffer plus a view worth braving the weather forecast.
