Welcome to Crazy Cafe’s website.
Inspired by the views of the Bristol Channel and Penarth Pier, Crazy Cafe opened its doors in June 2017. Designed by Cardiff property developer, Richard Hayward, it’s part of the Beachcliff development and is another addition to the renovation of Penarth’s seafront.
Since opening, the cafe has been thriving with volumes of customers continually finding us on the Esplanade including our daily regulars who enjoy our simple, yet comforting food which appeals to all, at reasonable prices.
Ashley, one of our resident chefs has relocated from The Great House Hotel of Laleston, Bridgend and was trained under Great British Menu 2017 finalist, Tommy Heaney. Our other resident chef is Ross who has come to us from Penarth’s own Custom House. We also have a resident baker, Shaun, who makes our fresh bread and cakes daily which you can also purchase from our counter to take home.
Crazy Cafe provide a variety of dishes to suit any tastes or occasions which can be served with our selection of soft drinks, wines, beers or cocktails. Crazy Cafe now serve Sunday lunches, which have proven to be extremely popular! We take reservations for Sunday lunch between 12.30pm and 3pm. Please reserve a table to avoid disappointment
Take a look at our menu and drinks tab which we continually update in order to provide our customers with plenty of choice. Crazy Cafe are always looking to improve our service and value our customer feedback so please let us know if you have any suggestions via the contact tab on our website, our Twitter page or FaceBook page.
We look forward to seeing you.

Great place. We came for early Saturday breakfast, everybody was very friendly, food was done quickly and tasted really nice & fresh. It’s so good to see freshly baked bread and all the lovely cakes, it makes such a huge difference! Very family friendly place with good options for children as well.
Stunning views, stylish furniture, fantastic milkshakes and fresh food! What more could you want?!
Following my daughters recommendation I stopped for light lunch and coffee this week The service was good food very appealing to the eye and tasted great. I had one of the best cups of coffer plus a view worth braving the weather forecast.
